LG KM900 ARENA from LG features the new UI named S-class. The phone looks to be an iphone clone but has features far better than it. Loaded with 3G, HSDPA , Wi-Fi , GPS and FM transmitter . The phone seems to be fully loaded to entertain any user out there.
Design and Looks
The LG KM900 Arena is nicely designed with a metallic front and a plain aluminum cover at the back.
The front panel of the phone is covered entirely by the 3” 16M color capacitive touch screen display. The capacitive
touch screen technology makes sure that the phone needs a slightest of touch to get things activated on the phone. The top of the phone hosts the 3.5mm standard audio jack, the power key and the back panel release button.The back side of the LG KM900 Arena hosts the 5 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics and the LED flash.
On the interface, LG has built its S-Class on the previous UIs of the LG range. There are four home screens and they break down the home screen UI into four easily manageable chunks: widgets, contacts, shortcuts and multimedia. The
phone features one of the best touch optimized phonebook.
Every field has a picture icon; a name and a green call button for quick voice dial option.
The phone features a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash which is mid-range as per today’s standards. All settings are visualized as a wheel and the phone offers options like face detection, geographical tagging, white
balance and various different
photo effects.
The video capture resolution of the camera stands at 720x480 pixels at 30FPS. There is also an option of choosing a slow or fast motion video shooting.
The phone features a standard audio player which has a different interface and takes time getting used to it. The player is able to play all the audio formats and has nice set of Dolby audio effects to it too.
Apart from the standard FM, the phone also comes with an FM transmitter which is able to broadcast any stream in the free frequency available in the particular area.
The call quality of the phone is good in both ways. The battery capacity is moderate and would satisfy any average user.
Overall the phone seems to be a multimedia monster and though a clone , it remains to be seen how it fares in the iphone dominant market.
