The frequency which this phone runs on is iDen 800/900MHz.There comes a regular sized TFT display screen which is capable of supporting 256k colours. The screen resolution is far inferior even to Nokia 2699 and Samsung Guru. Since the internal memory space provided is quite low, therefore a microSD card slot has been provided which helps to expand the external storage space. As far as the internet connectivity options are concerned, this Motorola device offers options such as WAP browser as well as GPRS support. The other connectivity options which enable data transferring as well as sharing are USB port and Bluetooth 2.0 version. For those interested in music, Motorola i235 provides options such as FM radio and MP3 music player. This music player supports formats like MIDI, WAV, AAC and AMR. The 2.5 mm audio jack which has been provided lets the users connect music devices to this mobile phone. Since this is a low budget mobile phone which doesn't really offer many exciting offers, thus there is not much to expect. These features make this phone better than Clarity Life which is a phone designed for special needs. For music options, this device provides wireless FM radio along with MP3 music player. Along with all the positive specifications of this mobile phone, there are many drawbacks and limitations also which are associated with it. Firstly, the 800mAh battery which has been fitted in facilitates a talk time of about 3.5 hours only. Such a battery is inferior to that of Samsung Guru mobile phone. The fact that the screen doesn't exhibit any colours makes it one of the poorest displays in the mobile industry. This phone is only useful for special people and not for others as it doesn't come with any attractive features.

Since the internal memory space allotted is not enough for storage needs hence Spice M5100 comes equipped with a microSD card slot which lets users expand the external memory space by up to 4 GB.As far as the music on this mobile phone is concerned, this device comes equipped with FM radio which is wireless in nature and can be used for recording along with the MP3 music player with dedicated music keys.
