| T-Mobile introduces two new unlimited plans Posted: 13 Apr 2011 05:27 AM PDT T-Mobile announced the introduction of two unlimited plans for its subscribers. These two plans termed 'even more' and 'even more plus' allow users unlimited messaging, data sharing, and limitless voice calling within national boundaries. Both plans include soft caps up to 2GB beyond which data sped is reduced till the beginning of the next billing period.According to a T-Mobile statement, users of 4G smartphone send or receive data of about 1GB every month. John Clelland, senior vice president marketing, T-Mobile stated that in the face of expensive data plans offered by its competitors, T-Mobile is continuously reducing their cost for their unlimited plans. With newer user options, T-Mobile subscribers stand at an advantage of exploiting 4G technology and richer mobile data transfer services. 'Even More' is available at a monthly payment of US $79.99 while, 'Even More Plus' for US $59.99. T-Mobile would be offering both these plans for a limited period.

| Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules against magicJack: cuts into revenues Posted: 13 Apr 2011 05:24 AM PDT For a complaint made by AT & T against VoIP (voice over internet protocol) home-phone service provider magicJack, FCC ruled in favor of the former. magicJack through continuous advertising in television shows publicizes VoIP service. This service promises users of making limitless calls to United States and Canada for a yearly charge of US $19.95 only. Users just need to attach a USB device to their computer at one end and a touch-tone handset on the other. AT & T has taken serious exception to magicJack's method of generating revenue and simultaneously keeping costs down. Complaint against this wireless service provider arises from the fact that magicJack through YMax charges customers 'call termination fees' for dialing any A T & T number or any of their owned toll-free numbers. On examination FCC has decided that that magicJack has no entitlement to these fees. There have been no statements about FCC's decision from magicJack.

| Lenovo planning to launch 23 inch tablet in 2011 Posted: 13 Apr 2011 05:21 AM PDT When most manufacturers are aiming for 7-inch or 10-inch tablets Lenovo is aiming big with a 23-inch model. William Cai, senior marketing specialist, commented that the company is developing a 23-inch device for domestic market targeting users for all-in-one device. This model comparable to a desktop with all capabilities is planned for a late 2011 release. Cai in a comment to TechRadar said that there is sufficient potential for 23-inch tablets. He further said that the company is currently working on increasing battery life and reducing weight. Making it lighter would help it to be carried easily, and developments are on to making its use as a television or a device with complete keyboard attachment. It seems that this device would be more of a connected television rather than a tablet. The operating system is also not clear, but in all likelihood would be Windows 7. We have to wait and watch.
