Is Motorola prepping an Android 2.3 Gingerbread? Posted: 14 Apr 2011 05:12 AM PDT Though Motorola might have brought world's first Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet, they appear to be developing a tougher model. If rumors are to be believed, then this new tablet would be more application friendly and rugged to absorb physical shocks. This new tablet would run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and not on Honeycomb. This 7- inch tablet might appear back dated considering its operating system. Android 2.3 Gingerbread would be a high-end tablet targeting the enterprise segment. This device is being specifically designed to withstand a drop of four feet, dust, extreme temperatures, and resistance to water. The other specifications should include: 1GHz dual core processor, RAM of 1GB, internal storage of 8GB, 1.3 megapixel frontal camera, rear camera of 8 megapixel and HDMI port. Other integrated features comprise USB connectivity, WiFi, and Bluetooth. With beta testing of this item expected to start in October 2011, this tablet is unlikely to arrive before 2012.

Apple has not yet set a roadmap for iPhone5 production Posted: 14 Apr 2011 05:06 AM PDT With unlimited rumors regarding release of iPhone5 no exact date could be specified. However, a summer launch seems improbable though it is not ruled out completely. Fact is, when Apple has not declared a date for launching iPhone5, a 'delay' is irrelevant. As of date, Apple has not yet finalized the roadmap for iPhone5 production. DigiTimes has reported that Apple has not provided details for iPhone5 production which leads us to believe that this model is unlikely to be released before 2012. Market speculation is that iPhone5 might not arrive till September 2011 or even later as there are is shortage or components. Until there are any official statements from Apple nothing definite could be said about the release of this device. With Verizon iPhone introduced in February this year, it is reasonable to believe that Apple would give some time before releasing a new model.
